The After-Party: Let's continue hard conversations

Many folks have contacted me and want to know what is next after the premiere screening of The Box: Out Of The Impossible. There are lots of great things coming including ways to view the film online, an Online Course, Speaking events around the country and continued conversations from all of the questions that are being sent to me in private messages via this Blog.

So, let's get started.

The Box is a documentary created for me to share information with practitioners, helping professionals, survivors, and those of you just plain curious about peeking into someone else's life. Yep, I know that we are all a little curious about what goes on in each other's lives and have a desire to find out more about it. Human nature I suppose.

If you haven't seen the movie synopsis, here it is:

Both highly informative and deeply emotional, #TheBox The Box is a rare opportunity to understand the indescribable destruction to one’s psyche when raised in a cult. At 20 years old, Maddie Caballo escaped the psychological boundaries of her family leaving her alone to navigate a world she did not understand. After years of traditional therapy, the discovery of alternative therapy finally led her back to inhabiting the body that she had vacated long ago. The Box is a story of horror, healing, and hope; a journey out of the impossible.

Here is the film poster so that you can recognize it when you see it.

This film is going to be entered into many film festivals. #AnnCabanoFilms did an outstanding job of listening to what I wanted and bringing it to a short form film/documentary in a way that is intriguing without being overly triggering. It is filled with hope, love, compassion, and just plain great information from me and my team of professionals that helped me become strong enough to share my story and help others. I would highly recommend #AnnCabanoFilms if you are looking for a professional to create a film around your story. Let's be honest, we all have a story to share.

My purpose in starting this blog is to answer the vast amount of questions that I am receiving. If one person has that question, I bet many others may be wondering about that too. Feel free to keep sending me your questions. I will use those as a jumping-off point for blog posts moving forward.

By the way, I do have a sense of humor and it will definitely come through as I speak. Yes, #trauma #dissociation #DID #ritualabuse #complextrauma and so much more are serious topics. If I didn't laugh once in a while, it would be depressing for me. It doesn't mean that I take it lightly, it just means that humor is one of my greatest coping skills. More to come on coping skills soon.

I cannot wait to keep our conversations going.

Maddie
